What’s the 4th Book About?

When my great-grandfather died in 1946, he was a very influential and powerful man, much beloved and respected in his community. It was said that all the rich and famous in the city, plus political dignitaries including the mayor attended his funeral and that there were 20 cars in the procession just carrying the flowers. He was such an important figure.

This fictional novel is his story of how a poor peasant farmer from China, came to Canada in the early 1900’s and overcame the hardships and cultural prejudices to become the all-powerful, yet benevolent, Godfather of the Montreal Chinatown.
